Mixed media means incorporating more than one technique. That gives mixed media works an inherent flexibility that creates the conditions for producing the desired effect without the restrictions of a particular technique. I loved to finger paint as a child, and doodling is omni-present in children's school books. I find it ironic that such basic principals as finger painting and doodling can generate beautiful artwork. Such ideas make me feel that making artwork can be much more accessible to more people. Making artwork should be accessible, because 'art' contains infinite possibilities. We can't all be a Picasso, but we can all produce art that is meaningful and beautiful.
