An exciting new partnership!

"With an exciting new partnership between Sharbot Lake High School, HUMAN RESOURCES CANADA, and North and Central Frontenac Municipalities, students will study the economic needs of their own community and then do something about it. Seems, telecommunications and the internet remove geographic barriers to business, making northern Frontenac County a viable location for new ventures.
Principal Wes Garrod says his students are planning to investigate job training and opportunities for the future...an assessment allowing the High School to meet the needs of its community. The marketing strategy and business plan they create will follow through to make part of the school building a multi-purpose facility, open to all kinds of community centre ventures...all of this while teaching secondary school students how to investigate, design and plan their own future. More of the "good news" in education!
"AN EDUCATED MINUTE IS BROUGHT TO YOU TODAY BY THE LEASING CENTRE OF KINGSTON... BELIEVING IN A GOOD PUBLIC EDUCATION!...I'M KATHY LEVERETTE."
