James G. Ward and His Family

James G. WARD was born on 28 December 1861 in Kent Count, New Brunswick, the only son of Thomas WARD and Jane GIRVAN.^1-5 On 31 December 1890 he married Margaret (Maggie) McNAIRN, daughter of William McNAIRN and Isabella McBEATH.⁶ Maggie was born on 17 December 1861.

James and Maggie Ward had the following children:⁷

• Isabell Matilda "Ilda", 16 March 1892 - 30 January 1937, married Duncan MacINTOSH of Black River and had three children.
• Frederick Boone, 25 April 1893 - 10 April 1968, moved to the U.S. in 1913 and settled near Portland, Maine. In 1920 he married Mildred F. LEVERONE, who was born in Massachusetts about 1898. They adopted a son.⁸
• Thomas Vans, 12 July 1896 - 3 February 1984, married Georgina Irene BANNISTER of Albert County in 1923 and had three children. They lived in Moncton.
• William Gordon, 9 November 1899 - 1987, moved to Portland, Maine, married Grace A. __?__ in 1924 and had three children.
• Annie Elizabeth, 8 June 1903 - 23 December 1989, married Timothy Pembroke NORTHRUP (1901-1989) of Havelock, Albert Co., and moved to Portland. Annie and Tim had no children.
• John Stirling, 19 May 1908 - 14 December 1986, married Alda Audrey McLEOD (1906-1974) in 1935 and lived in Moncton. Stirling and Alda had no children, either.
