Black River to British Columbia
Angus & Christina MacIntosh

Angus MacINTOSH (b.08 June 1827, d.18 Oct 1921) [1] was the fifth child of David & Betsey MacINTOSH of Black River, Kent Co. He married Christina McNAUGHTON (b.17 June 1825, d.1913) [2], daughter of Donald McNAUGHTON and Margaret McBEATH of Black River, Northumberland Co.

They had the following children[3]:

Angus & Christina & family appear in the 1861 and 1871 censuses at Black River, but by 1881 most of the family had removed to Chatham (N.B.) where Angus practised carpentry -- a trade handed down from his father. In 1881 Maggie, Elizabeth and Annie were all teachers.

By 1898 Mary & John Moore LETSON had moved to Vancouver. Much of the rest of the family apparently joined Mary and her children in B.C. sometime after 1901.
