Robert Dickson

Robert DICKSON, sixth child and second son of John DICKSON & Jenny ATKINS, was born in the summer of 1837 in the River Philip district.[1] On 10 July 1867 he married Elizabeth J. KENT, daughter of Jane COVE and Alexander KENT of Claremont.[2]

Robert and Elizabeth had two children:

• Robert Wylie (1868-1945)[3] married Christina Mencil MOORE (1870-1931), daughter of Mary and Samuel MOORE of Linden, on 15 August 1906.[4] They had no children.[5] Both are buried in the Hillside Cemetery in Springhill.[6]
• Cora Jane (b.12 July 1870) [7] married (1) Edgar Hiram BLACK of Glenville on 15 January 1902, and later (2) Robert AIKENS.[8]

Elizabeth died in 1893 and is buried in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill. [6]. Robert died 8 March 1925 [9] and also lies in Hillside Cemetery.

Cora Jane and Edgar BLACK had the following children [8]:

• Nina (b.1902)
• Robie (1903-1994)
